Easter Celebrations at Darul Sakoon
At OBS we realize the importance of having an active culture of making meaningful contributions to the society by initiatives that make a difference in the lives of people. In continuation of our CSR vision and to enhance the corporate image a team of volunteers of OBS employees went to Dar-ul-Sakoon on Friday April 6, 2012 to celebrate Easter with them.
It was an opportunity for our employees to meet with wonderfully vibrant and high spirited children and adults at Dar-ul-Sakoon which is home to people who are physically and mentally handicapped taken care of by a dedicated team of nuns and volunteers. Our team met with nearly all of the residents there and thoroughly enjoyed their company.
Ms. Adeela Tarek joined the team for a cake cutting ceremony which was followed by a scrumptious Easter lunch. She then went to each child and personally distributed a healthy OBS gift pack (fresh fruits). The children were very appreciative of our visit and enjoyed the music, food and the goody bags provided to them at this happy occasion of Easter.
The event was widely covered by the print and electronic media which has highlighted OBS as a responsible corporate citizen and enhanced our image as a forward looking and progressive organization.
