International Day for Senior Citizens
October 1, 2015 marks the International Day for senior citizens; OBS being socially responsible member of the society extended it support to observe this day. Team OBS volunteered in the walk by the name of “Walk for Frails” organized by Dar ul Sukun at M.A Jinnah Road, which symbolized the respect and care for elderly citizens. Our volunteers actively participated in managing this walk. They ensured that senior members of society participating are being taken care of and well hydrated. Despite of the heat wave, passion to serve the elders was apparent.
In continuation to this, on October 03, 2015 a seminar as “Voice of Frails” was held by Dar ul Sukun to create awareness about problems faced by much neglected senior citizens of our society. Madam Adeela Tarek, Senior Director OBS was guest of honor. Other eminent figures from various segments of corporate sector also attended the event and threw light on the subject.
