OBS, AkzoNobel & Charter for Compassion paints the first floor of NICH

OBS has always strived to be a socially responsible employer and we have been executing our CSR strategy throughout 2012. Recently we collaborated with AkzoNobel and Charter for Compassion to paint the first floor of the NICH. The project highlights our potential not only to do CSR projects ourselves but also our ability to mobilize other corporations and NGOs to work with us to achieve our objective of addressing the needs and concerns of the communities where we operate.

The employees of OBS, AkzoNobel and volunteers from Cfc Pakistan painted the premises in a bid to enhance the awareness for the cause of better healthcare facilities for children in Pakistan. The event concluded with an interactive session that included Ms. Adeela Tarek Khan, Senior Director OBS, Mr. Amin Hashwani, President of Cfc Pakistan and NOWPDP and Ms. Mehreen Shah, Communications Manager AkzoNobel. Also present at the occasion was Mr. Salman Ahmed, prominent musician and social activist who performed for the young patients and appreciated the collective efforts of OBS, AkzoNobel and Cfc Pakistan.

During the interactive session, the motivational talks by the prominent personalities aimed to inspire the young volunteers to work harder for the benefit of the society, while the musical entertainment brought smiles to the faces and the families of the young patients.

A key element in our CSR efforts has been the involvement of our employees who have volunteered passionately on various projects throughout 2012. The recent effort at NICH was exemplary where all of our employees showed discipline, passion and acted as true ambassadors of OBS. Our success at NICH should make us proud and more committed towards making a profound impact as a responsible citizen of our society and much more responsible members of team OBS.
